Brackets and tables

How players move through an SNG6 and a CUP36, which finishing places pay, and the exact odds if everyone clicks once.

on this page

Hood games have only two shapes. An SNG6 is one table. A CUP36 is six tables that feed one final. This page shows both, and says what each player's chances are.

SNG6: one table

Six players sit at one table and play Last Hood Standing. The last hood standing is first and the hood shot last before that is second. The first place takes 70% of the prize pool and second place takes 30%. Everyone else gets nothing.

CUP36: six tables, then a final

ROUND 1: six tables of six, each plays Last Hood Standing

  Table A winner --+
  Table B winner --+
Table C winner --+---> FINAL: one table of six, Last Hood Standing
  Table D winner --+
  Table E winner --+ 1st 45% 2nd 25% 3rd 14%
  Table F winner --+ 4th 8% 5th 5% 6th 3%
  • Round 1. The 36 players are spread across six tables of six. Each table plays Last Hood Standing, and its winner moves on. The other five players at that table are out, and they get nothing, so 30 of the 36 entrants finish without a prize.
  • The final. The six table winners sit at one final table and play Last Hood Standing. The last hood standing is first, and the first hood shot is sixth.
  • Timing. The final starts once all six tables have produced a winner.
  • Seating. The server assigns players to tables. You cannot pick yours.

Your chances if everyone clicks once

When every player clicks once per turn, every hood is equally likely to be shot at any point, so the order of elimination is a uniformly random shuffle. That gives exact odds:

  • SNG6. Each entrant has a 16.67% chance to win and a 33.33% chance to finish in the top two, which is the money.
  • CUP36. Each entrant has a 16.67% chance of reaching the final, which is also the chance of getting any prize, and a 2.78% chance of winning the whole cup.

The numbers are exact for the fair spin. They are not a forecast of your results, and taking dares moves risk between players and lowers your own chances. See At the table.

What an entry costs on average

The whole prize pool is paid out, so if everyone clicks once, your average result across many events is just minus the entry fee: 10% of the buy-in. Prizes and payouts works it through with numbers.
